Caltabellotta Walking Tour & Cheesemaking Experience from Sciacca
Discover Caltabellotta, a village at nearly one thousand meters above sea level, through a private walking tour of approximately five and a half hours. Begin with a comfortable E-Class transfer from your hotel and explore the historic center with a licensed guide. Visit Salvatore Rizzuti's sculpture workshop, where works inspired by local myths can be observed, and the Civic Museum, which displays pieces donated by the artist, including a representation of the Peace of Caltabellotta. Immerse yourself in a local producer's house, followed by a tasting of three olive oils from the Cerasuola, Nocellara, and Biancolilla varieties. The itinerary continues to the Cathedral, built on a prehistoric site of worship and housing a fresco linked to the Knights Templar. Conclude at the Shepherd's estate, where you will enjoy the livestock area, uncover the dairy, and finish with a tasting of ricotta and cheese. The experience combines local crafts, farming traditions, and Sicilian character.
